We’re now back in the office after yet another successful Royal Cornwall Show. The event was extremely busy, just how we like it!
The Royal Cornwall Show is an agricultural show for the county of Cornwall. Farmers come and show their best animals and produce and see exhibitions of the latest equipment available. However the show gives the chance for businesses of the area to showcase themselves, network and build custom.
The show was started in 1793 but only came permanently to Wadebridge in 1960 before that, it was held in a different town each year. Since it came to Wadebridge the site has been used for many other events apart from the three day Show in early June.
The Showground covers 9 hectares with 4 hectares of concrete roads and 2 hectares of buildings including a house for the secretary. Show days are of great importance for the county and farmers come from the whole of Cornwall to make up the attendance of about 130,000 people.
We’ve been going for many years and show just gets better and better! We had a large stand between GoJute and ourselves, which was perfect to show off their new designer summer range. And we gained a huge amount of interest in our wonderful windbreaks but also the deckchairs were very popular. All in all a fab weekend!
